Over the few days from end of December to New Years Day, friends of ours hold a small festival down by one of the tributaries along the Hawkesbury River.  It is very family orientated, about 4-5 days of music and swimming and as much or as little activity as you may want.  All our family came, teenagers included (with some of their mates) and I look back very happily at spending this time with all our kids and all our combined friends together.,

We had not gone for the last two years and in the lead up, just after Christmas, it seemed to me almost too hard to organise the tents and food and clothes and all the other paraphernalia needed, but once we got there, all that dropped away.  It was incredibly hot (as it always is - but hey, it is summer folks!) and despite the odd jellyfish, we fell into the river quite regularly, especially on the day of setting up camp.

Not much more to say, just photos to tell the story (and not even that many of them)...........
