Yesterday, Easter Saturday, Christina and I, with Natalie and Erin, took Nanna and Poppy (mum and dad) for a walk through a local reserve - Stony Range Reserve, which was established in 1957. It's not very big and is now crowded out by built up Dee Why, but it is a lovely oasis of bushland showing how the native landscape would once have looked.
The main trails are paved, which was perfect for Nanna - I was so impressed by how far she walked, up and down hills too!
And there are lots of little side tracks for the girls to explore, with one leading to a fairy house and a banksia man cave.
Lizards were caught (gently) and boats were improvised.
